已经有人指出英诗翻译用词不宜重复（sage). 另外，eon是个大词，主要用于学术，意指时间的无限或者世代，平常时候用带有调侃的意味。依我的理解，天地之悠悠涵盖时间、空间的无限，所以用infinity这样的小词更朴实恰当一些。写作忌用生僻的词。My 2 cents.

Eon: 
an indefinite and very long period of time, often a period exaggerated for humorous or rhetorical effect.
"he reached the crag eons before I arrived"
ASTRONOMYGEOLOGY
a unit of time equal to a billion years.
GEOLOGY
a major division of geological time, subdivided into eras.
"the Precambrian eon"
