Rememberance at Red Cliff
To the East runs the great river,
Wave on wave, washing away those everWho had made a history through the ages together.
An ancient fortress sits in the West,
Where people conversed,
Three Kingdoms' Youth Zhou on Red Cliff's crest.
Scrambled rocks thrust to the sky,
Break startled waves up high,
Rolling up like heaps of snow to fly.
This country is as beautiful as a painting,
Once aroused so many talented heroes struggling.
Bring him far back to my present sight,Younger Qiao is at his bridal night,
His heroic bearing glows just right.
Swinging a plume fan and wearing black silk scarf,
He talks and smiles,
His rival's warships are being burned to ashes in raff.
Visiting the Old Haunt in my mental tour,
I banter myself as an emotion lord.
For hoary hair crept too early on sides afore.
A life is like a dream,
I shed a goblet of wine on the river's moon gleams.
