I guess it's common practice for American companies to fire employees if they shared their salary information and somebody else complained because of it. But that does not make much sense to me. If two people have the same qualifications working at the same company, they should make the same amount of money. If the company is paying one of them less, then the company is taking advantage of that person. And to me, doing this in the first place just seems to be unethical. On top of that, firing people over it seems to me like they are covering up their problems. Hehe, sorry. I'm too judgmental :S
