问个翻译问题，多谢

在审一篇中文翻译稿，其中有一个词people with mixed heritage，被原译者翻译成混血儿，但是文章中说的并不是孩子，“混血者”听起来比原来的mixed heritage 差了很多，而且还包括父母分别信犹太教和基督教这样的，翻成混血好像也不太对。

请问有什么好的简单的翻译吗？
