Well, I don't have any contact with old friends in China but my parents thus I don't encounter those people, and no opportunity to say "shut up" :-)
I left China 15 years ago, have only gone back 3 times and I really don't have no friends left "tian nan di bei" -- only one that I have been friends with since primary school, now she works as an accountant clerk at a bank. It is better we don't contact each other. If we do, she always say "oh, I adore you guys, you have big eagle and live a fantastic life; my life is so boring...". I have nothing to exchange with her and don't want to cause her a heart attack with my dating stories neither.
