I am working for a government contractor company. In general, government contractor companies are relatively stable. As long as we have the contractors going on. But it seems that the economy crisis have influence in our companies.
I got into my office late this morning. I got here 10AM. Before I had a chance to sit down, my co-worker came over to tell me that they had a all hand meeting before I got in, and it the meeting, the VP announced the project manager would no longer with the company. I was shock, since I didn't seem this would happen so soon. The project manager even talked to me several times on Friday. He has asked me the progress in my team. Maybe, He didn't even know that he would get lay off on the coming Monday. Sad....
I get to go back to work now, I am thankful that i am still sitting here, but feel sorry for the one who just let go. The worst thing is that he is not a technical person...
My company just lay off the project manager
