看到置顶的餐桌礼仪的文章我有一问--餐桌上吮手指头是不是

在西人餐桌礼仪上不是禁忌？
我忘记在哪里读到过，但实在不确信了。
结果经常看到美国人在餐桌上毫无顾忌地吮手指头，更加好奇是不是这是西方社会餐桌上允许的动作。
哪位明白，给我解解惑？
