Did they ask you whether dumplings are OK when you guys were arranging for the party? If they asked, it would be good that you told them the true. After all, there are only 4 people (maybe with their kids). They will feel bad when they find out that Lao K does not eat dumplings. They would definetly feel better if they cook something that you and Lao K both like. You and Lao K are their guests!
