While I was talking about stop shoulding on myself and be happy, live for myself rather than others, all were based on my obedience to the laws and ethics. It's all about personal spirituality and value, self-acceptance and self-confidence, to make myself happy.

For instance, I think I should have chose the college I wanted to go. However, I listened to my father, just because I thought I should, I went to medical school. I was never happy there

I was asked out by my professors even during the semesters. Rules are rigid, people deal with differently. Some people never consider they should or should not. They lived the way they wanted to be.

Unless I have had told on those professors who tried to date me, otherwise, nobody really knew. Their careers were not jeopardized if they did take risks.

Should or should not is a state of individual's mind. Not like what you said, from rules and ethics, that simple.

You are talking sth, such as, laws, ethics, rules, I'm sorry that we are not on the same page.
