在我最美丽的时刻     At the peak of my beauty

 

为这                 I prayed

我已在佛前求了五百年 In front of Buddha for five hundred years

求佛让我们结一段尘缘 Begging him for a worldly encounter with you

佛於是把我化做一棵树 He then reincarnated me as a tree

长在你必经的路旁     Standing next to the road you were bound to pass by

 

阳光下               Under the sunlight

慎重地开满了花       I gingerly put on a dress full of flowers

朵朵都是我前世的盼望 Each one of them displayed the yearning from my last life

 

当你走近             When you approach me

请你细听             Please listen with all your heart

那颤抖的叶           Each one of the quivering leaves
