“中”和“好吃狗“，我刚找到了，我帖里引用的那段翻译是韩少功的：））

He had come to feel an inexplicable love for this all but complete stranger; she seemed a child to him, a child someone had put in a bulrush basket daubed with pitch and sent down stream for Tomas to fetch at the riverbank of his bed.

他慢慢感到了一种莫名其妙的爱,却很不习惯。对他来说;她象个孩子;被人放在树脂涂覆的草筐里顺水漂来,而他在床榻之岸顺手捞起了她。

呵呵，英文是说他对那个只是个完全陌生人的她产生了不能解释的爱，“不能解释”和“莫名其妙”不是一个意思吧，陌生人被翻成“很不习惯”了？

《圣经》Moses摩西故事我也不知道，不过英文的sent down stream for Tomas to fetch里面显然有某种purpose, 是安排的，而翻译中没了。


当然不知道法文又是什么意思了
