!!!, you guys are mixing all diseases and symptoms up.

1. There are 5 main strains of Rotaviruses. That's why a child without rotavirus vaccine will be repeatedly infected by the different strains of rotavirus, because infection by 1 strain doesn't provide complete protection from another strain.  However, after repeated infections by the virus, by age 5, the child has already developed the complete immunity against the virus. So he/she is protected, and less sick.

2. If 军大's  sons are older than 5 yrs,  this time they are most likely infected by stomach flu or even some cold virus. Flu vaccine only provides 50% chance of protection, and there is no vaccine for cold viruses because there are more than 100 strains in cold viruses.

3. Maybe caused by some other viruses/bacteria, many viruses/bacteria can cause the similar symptoms..
