Yes, young people who have just started working often prefer living in NYC. New York is a city for the young!

That said, not many people who work on Wall Street, or other professionals at the top of their fields, actually live in New York City. Many choose to live on Long Island or in New Jersey and commute to the city by train every day.

While some neighborhoods in NYC may be less ideal for residential living, the suburbs are often more affluent and can offer a more comfortable living environment. That's why many New Yorkers choose to live there and commute.

Of course, each option has its own advantages depending on one's lifestyle and priorities.
