I can't agree more that NY is not an ideal place for family

life, at least not a great place to raise kids.   If Manhattan is Wall Street, the suburbs feel like Main Street for people like us. People who work on Wall Street can be disparaging towards those on Main Street:)

But life is about experience. Living there or working there expands the horizon:)
