《We 我们》

I once heard a voice
我曾经听到一个声音

It reverberates around the beams even now:
至今依然余音绕梁：

“we lied,
我们撒谎，

we cheated,
我们欺骗，

we stole. 
我们偷窃。

we even had entire training courses.”
我们甚至有全套的培训课程。

Why we need enemies
Why we make enemies
Why we name enemies in our country’s constitution
Why we smile while others cry
Why we gobble steaks while others don’t have enough foods to allay their hungers
Why we change new clothes everyday while others have no second pairs of shoes
Why we’re in lovers’ warm cuddles while others’ lovers bleed on battlefields
Why we love love and peace yet we go fighting with other people
Why we love love and peace still we make guns and cannons

Let greed be far away from our minds 
Let desire fires be well controlled 
Let love melt any enmity into organic soils to feed beautiful flowers 
Let love fuse all the guns and cannons to make wide bridges over ravines 
Leading love and peace to the heart of each person at every corner of the earth 
Let our hearts maintain red and the globe green for ever

为什么我们需要敌人？
为什么我们树立敌人？
为什么我们在我们的宪法中命名敌人？
为什么我们笑，而别人哭？
为什么我们大快朵颐吃牛排，而有人却没有足够的食物来充饥？
为什么我们每天都换新衣服，而有人却没有第二双鞋子？
为什么我们在爱人的温暖怀抱中温存，而有人的爱人却在战场上流血牺牲？
为什么我们热爱爱与和平，却与他人战斗不止
为什么我们热爱爱与和平，但我们仍然制造大炮枪支？

让贪婪远离我们的思想
让欲望之火得到妥善的控制
让爱化解仇恨，化作有机土壤，养育美丽的花朵
让爱熔化所有枪炮，在沟壑上架起宽阔的桥梁
将爱与和平引向地球每个角落的每个人的心中
