看到很多姐妹们对美国所谓的nursing home的了解都不多，才会发出俺以后老了一定去nursing home的言论

真正的nursing home一般都是老人无法自理，必须要人服侍的那种，被逼着去的。而其很贵。

到了那里，你看到的都是很”悲惨“的情景，就好比进了医院的”癌症“科一样，非常的让人压抑。

好的你可以一个人一个房间（那个更贵），一般的都是2人share一个房间。一般如果你能走的，（不管你拄着拐杖还是啥的，只要能移动步子的），都不给你把饭菜端到床上吃，你还要自己一步一步移到餐厅里去吃。

我老公的外婆临死前1年多就住哪里，我们去看她，出来真是大出一口气啊。 看到那些困难的老人一步一步贴着墙去吃饭，心里真郁闷啊。 最郁闷的是卫生间里没洗澡的，外婆只能在阿姨她们接她到她们家去的时候，才可以洗澡。平时只能自己用水来擦擦就行了。

说白了反正就是给人一种只要进了nursing home的，也就是等着死了。 很郁闷的。俺现在就祈祷俺可不愿意老了到那种地方去。
