This is Anne. According to our company’s policy, nobody should disclose his or her private information and account password to others. However, last Friday as part of the checkout procedure on my last day at xx office, Katy, who is a manager there (note: you’d better provide Katy’s full name, title, and contact info), asked me to disclose my SIN number and my birthday so that she could set up my password for XYZ account. In fact she wrote down my all these information (SIN number, birthday, and password) on a paper.
I wonder if Katy’s action would have compromised the password setup protocol and could cause problems to me and/or the company later on. Please let me know your thoughts on this and what counteraction, if you deem necessary, I should take to resolve this issue.
Regards,
Anny
