I am so glad that I read something regarding Dr. Zhou.

His sister was a good friend of mine back in Hangzhou and we still have phone communications recently.

Dr. Jian Zhou graduated from WenZhou Medical college in Zhejing, and he was kind of famous even when he was in China being a graduate student in Beijing.

He died of hepatitis (well he is working on virus, and his death is also related to virus, although a different kind) that was to be believed he had caught during a trip in China while he was working as a research scientist in Australia.

There is still some lawsuit going on regarding the patent of the HPV vaccine.
