胡佛的书。G-Man: J. Edgar Hoover and the Making of the American Cnetury. by Beverly Gage 

那是个非常复杂的人，也是非常出色的官僚。

麦卡锡的作者有点立场, 听起来可能多少要打点折扣。Demagogue: The Life and Long Shadow of Senator Joe McCarthy by Larry Tye 。不过也很有点似曾相识的感觉。

还有一本早些时候听的，What the Ermine Saw by Eden Collinsworth

说的是达芬奇的一副画的历史。

Trume 也很好，是David Mcllough 写的，就是很长53个小时。

小说，Carnegie's Maid. The personal Librarian 也都不错。。

奥本海默的书是 American Prometheus by Kai Bird
