I admit that American media places a big influence on

quite a few Americans's point of views about Asians. However, it only applies for those Americans who has very little touch with Asian culture and people. For instance, Americans who have never been to China, they originally thought China was a farm country which was poor and disadvanced . After they went to China, what they saw totally surprised them and changed their mind.

Moreover, those open-minded Americans who have experience living in China or working and living with Chinese, they don't stereotype Chinese as the media does.

Media is a tool to entertain people. If you trust all, you would be a fool. I personally regard those American media agencies, actually some of them, have very limited knowledge about China and Chinese. They haven't got a chance to see the huge change. In the meantime, those Americans who got a chance to see and experience China are not media agencies.

In real life, lots of good examples are about interracial marriage. I just talked to Sam, one of my good American friend today. He told me, his neighbour, the hu*****and is a Chinese man while the wife is an American woman, the wife was very happy with the Chinese hu*****and. She thought in a way Chinese hu*****and is better than some American men because he is very caring.

Another friend of mine, who is a CFO, told me that I represented China very well. The image of China is established by Chinese. We can make it either better or worse.

I do think that the media influence is really important to build our new image with showing Americans a rapidly developing China. Hopefully our Chinese media could do sth.
