Find out his relationship with his mother.

Do you like the way his mother treats him? Do you like the way he talks about his mother? Did he receive adequate care and love from her? Does he have unresolved issues with her?

Is he a mature and independent person who is capable of giving and receiving love. Is he responsible for himself and able and willing to take care of his family?

Does he have a sense of honor and a kind heart?

Does he respect your physical and mental boundaries? That requires you know where your own boundaries are.
