i'm not sure about 高尚, i do it simply because it's just the right thing to do, if i don't, i'll not have inner peace, something is wrong. This "something" i think is about basic dignity and decency all living creatures deserve (not only human beings), even for the serial murders on the death rows (if they are not in the actions of killing).
