The bottomline is that i don't share that view, but if you want to push your kid for any other personal reasons, I understand.

Otherwise, i don't think it worth it, and more so when kids are teens. The tension beteen parent and kids will be higher, even without chinese.

Carefully choose your battles, your kid's time at home is short.
