A Vietnamese guy and I are the only two Asian in my company. He is in the testing team, and I am in the developer team. His cubical was next to mine, so I used to talk to him every day. We are both married, and I never had any romantic feeling toward him. He liked to criticize his wife to me, looked at me in a strange way, asked me out for lunch, he even said some perverted thing in front of me. After I realized something was wrong, I talk to him privately that telling pervert joke was inappropriate. I started to mention my hu*****and in front of him, and talked to him less, but he still didn抰 get my signal. One day, he said in front of a group of people that I was his girlfriend. I got very upset. I told him that was sexual harassment, and talked to his manager about what happened. He could get into deep trouble, but again, as usual, I try to be a nice person, so I told his manager that I would forgive him, and no further action is needed. I think your case might be different, but I think acting professionally in the office is a basic necessity. Life is beautiful; don抰 make it too difficult for yourself.
