Some say that is a clash of civilization between Christian value and Muslim value. I think radical islamism is not a religion. My favorite professor of all time is a faithful Muslim. He once told me that, we cannot take part of the religion too seriously. There have been radical Christians in history as well. I left church after reading Tolerance by Hendrick Valoon, which talked horrible stories of Crusade. I returned to church after realizing that people are not perfect, but God is. My Muslim professor also won the higest honor a civilian can get from the state government during 911 for years of service at the school. He told me that it is indeed a Great country. Any new emerging ideaology that dishonors life is frightening, just like fascism.
