Actually, I wanted to be a first tier scholar. I love doing research for the most part. I also likes teaching. Now I realized that family is more important and I probably do not have the brilliance to be a first tier scholar. I witnessed how much time my advisor has to spend on his career. He is top 10 around the world. I think there are things that are far more important than career, God, family, friends, and etc. You don't have that kind of energy to tackle all of that.
