This is how I gave my husband hint

When he came over to see me, he brought flowers such as roses for me. One time, I told him jokinkly that he could save the flower money and put it into my diamond ring fund.

One week later, he was asking me how kind of engamement ring I would like.

Maybe you can do something similar.

It looks like you are doing alot driving during bad weather, you should ask him to do more driving.
