It's so easy to say or do things when you have money. What will you do after divorce? He can only pay you certain amount. Alimony is not a life long annuity. You should have fanacial indepence first. You may have less time of thinking of his bad problems if you are working. And if you have a job, you may understand why he wants to retire.....
