We sold our old car on Craiglist - very low mileage like 7K even though it was 9 years old. Many buyers called. One buyer said he wanted to check out the car as soon as possible and then if it worked out he would pay on the spot. We said we already promised a buyer to inspect the car the next day. This buyer insisted he could come right away.
There is a Super Walmart not far from home. We told the buyer he could go to that WalMart and we brought our car over. He checked in and out in great details then he said he would pay an extra $200 to get the car, right now.
So I and the buyer walked in WalMart and he bought Money Orders for the full amount with cash. He paid us the Money Orders, we signed the title paper and handed it to him. Because he was alone, we ended up drive both our cars followed him to his girlfriend's home about 15 miles north of us, left the sold car at the drive way, and drove our other car back home. The next day we went to the county registration office to declare that car was sold - that is very important to prevent any subsequent insurance issues.
