今天是光明节的最后一晚,邻居开party,我带去了老公外婆传下来的 派,特别受欢迎,好几家要去了recipe,想想也在这里分享一下。这个派用料单纯,做法简单,是节日期间一个好甜点。
外婆很小的时候从波兰移民来了美国,在差一个月100岁的时候在睡梦中去世的。我每次做这个派都要想起她,还有她的一个靠垫上写着:Life is short. Eat dessert first。
Grandma’s Pear Pie
Ingredients:
3-4 soft ripe pears, leave skin on, quartered and cored
1/4 cup sugar
½ stick butter
3 beaten eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 deep dish pie crust, defrost
- Preheat oven to 350 degree
- Arrange pear pieces with points toward center of the pie crust, cut side down, put extra pear pieces in spare spaces
- Mix sugar, butter, beaten eggs and vanilla extract in a sauce pan, heat up the mixture on the stove until everything melts and becomes smooth
- Pour the custard over pears in the pie crust (no top crust needed for the pie)
- Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown
