这句话真的很惹人嫌。

这句话是缺乏沟通能力的体现。沟通是双向的，这句话完全是单向沟通，不注意受话者的接受情绪，一说出口就把话说死了. It doesn't invite conversations or discussions from the recipient. It basically says, "Just shut up and listen to me (because I'm morally and/or intelligently superior to you)." 

我也不赞成用“管教”一词，虽然翻译成英文是discipline，但它明显更negative、更权威化。孩子和父母是平等的，I won't treat my daughter the way I don't want to be treated.
