Right to the point!

I often say to him: I want you to be my best friend, lover and partner, and dad for my boys, like a real dad. We are one core family.

I had the illusion because everything else was just as great. But one thing not handled well almost destroyed everything...

I have realized it too...will reset my expectation to the reality.
