I think you overstated the influence of the presidents

By and large, I don't think the president can do too much. The more he does it more he messes up. (Bush and Obama are examples)

Therefore, I don't attribute the economy to who is the president. Clinton knows nothing about economy. Economy is a very strange thing, particularl macro economy, very few has good clue about it, including the economists. That's why you see them fighting on policies.

I don't pay attention to politics normally, it is totally BS. 

But nowadays, people start to get brainwashed by these media enpowered BS. That is very sad in this "free" world.

The problem of Obama is that he is the current president, and I have seen him lying over and over, talking BS. And Romney has never been the president, he might be a similar liar, but he at least deserves the benefit of doubt.
