In principle, US tax law's spirit actually is very clear, pay every thing unless it is allowed.

I am sure a lot of people taking advantage of the loosy execution branch, and get away with it. For example, I have not seen any waitress got in Fed prison because she didn't report her tip income.

Unreported income is hard for IRS to explore. Because they need to come first present you the evidence of income.

Loopholes are actually easier for IRS. It is the burden of tax payer to prove it. Rules are ambiguous, but not necessarily help the tax-payer.

But, yeah, actually I am going to talk to an accountant to see if there are tax planning i can do.
