美剧desperate housewife, 1-02问题请教

正在跟着美剧学英语，选的是desperate housewife，觉得比较贴近生活。目前才精学到season1的第二集，有以下问题请教大家；

Carlos回家很晚，带了礼物来想以此打发Gabrielle.
Gabrielle说：no,no,no.you're not gonna buy your way out of this one.
这个是什么意思呢？是词组吗？

- how are you holding up? 什么意思,一般怎么回答?

还有以下短语的意思:
-say no more, I'll get out of your hair

-take her out at the knees

-just so you know,

-get off on the wrong feet
