How to improve English

Today, there are so many posts about English. How to improve English? Any class and books to recommend? I need a quick way to improve. My job is about technical. Before I don't think English is very important. Recently, I had a big lesson. I really need improve my English writing skills and how to talk with others in English. I am not confident about my language learning ability. My Chinese writing is so so too. Thanks for suggestion!
