The victim was my neighbour and my friend. She was a person with an ear-to-ear smile for all who greetedher , and for whom the entire world revolved around her son and family.
She was constantly advised to leave this man, but she was inexorably torn about taking the child away from his father.
What a false choice.
My heart is aching for her, as no woman deserves this end, especially not this person. And my heart aches, too, for her child who will likely not remember how much his mother loved and cherished him.
