I think if she is a legal resident in US, then she will still

be able to get her treatment here. She can take the medical bills as a loan from the hospital, and pay them back in 30 years. If her family income is very low, then she may even can apply medicate, or emergency healthy care.

I think she should contact the social service in US first.
