years ago. I wish that I would had a chance to take my mom out to a fine restaurant, to buy her gifts, or just even had a chance to talk to her about my happiness and sadness. But my mom left us when I was 20 years old.

I think I understand your feeling and your mom's feeling. You try to be a good daughter, but your mom's complain really frustrated you, and you think mom is not being considerate, she can't understand your problems, such as the problems at work and relationships.

On the other hand, your mom think she gave you a life, raised you, provided you education for many years, so she deserves the pay back. She think that she deserves all the respect, and obedience from you. As you know, that's the old Chinese way of thinking. But I imagine my parents would had thought in the same way if I even had had a chance to take care of them. Plus, you mom might think that she will leave you and going back to China soon, then she doesn't know when she will have a chance to live with you after this time, so she feels very frustrated, but as a traditional Chinese lady, she has problem to express her feeling to you, She has problem to tell you how much she loves you, and how much she long for the care and love from her daughter. I always remember my mom told me that she wished my older sister(19 years older than me) could have spent more time to talk to her...

I wish everything will turn out fine between you and your mom, and wish both of you can enjoy every minutes being together. :)))
