a surprised dumped gift

I got a gift from a family member, it is a hat, looks like good material, but it is really ugly. I think it is a garbage gift they got from other people, then give to me. I think I will throw away.

someone said there is a return mark on the tag, why not return, at least I will get $10 back and buy some other things.

I went to bloomingdale and asked the casher that if I can return or not, she said yes, she asked me that if I have the receipt or mot, I said no. She said she can only give me a credit, not cash.

I asked her how the hat worth, she said one seven three, I said" seventeen dollars and thirty cents?", she said" One hundred seventy three dollars."

I surprised" what, I think I will get at most 20 dollars back, why?"

The casher said" You did not check the brand, it is Burberry?."

I never check the brand name, I only think it is a garbage gift.

I regrett that I trashed the gift of scarf and hat every christmas before. I have to check all dumped gift that I recived this christmas.
