then here is what I think could serve as a good translation:  My heart sank to the bottomless pit, instead of YOU dropped to the land from the HEaven. 我的心掉下无底洞--比较地道的英语表达，个人认为，让人一目了然--让人看到诗人心碎心酸的样子，可以替代从天上掉到地上--这个让人看到粉身碎骨而言--没有心碎
