egg on 怂恿是个很地道的美国俚语，Seinfeld，Jerry有讲过 couple of times.
I didn’t want to do it but Tom kept egging me on.

同样的意思的还有rope in，〈非正〉说服(某人)(参与某项活动)- 把某人套进来。
They have been roped in to help organize the event.

这两词，都略带贬义

这文我写的比较仔细，尽力在上下文中用准这些idioms，如果你认真体会，可以一瞥美国口语的端倪，看似简单，说到地道从容很难，大家一齐努力~~
