Thinking of Someone in the Early Morning
The moon sets behind the West mountain.
The quails living in my cypress awaken.
I look toward the east, like the
clouds there, my heart starts to brighten.
My night dreams have evaporated
like those morning dews.
Wish my thoughts could also evaporate
and turn into light-hearted white clouds.
Last night the stars accompanied the moon.
They never change, all the same.
Today I'd better get drunk with a glass
of wine, served with this poem,
for all the lost years
that have changed me, and
for a chance to go back in time
to meet you again.
