Thoughts Go Far Away on A Late Autumn Day
The early sun hovers above
the village outside the city.
A piece of red cloud falls onto a maple
tree where the autumn ripens.
A flock of birds calling for each other,
loud and clear, to go somewhere.
They fly through the woods,
a few leaves knocked down,
gone is also their singing sound.
After the candle in my heart goes out,
I can no longer shed more tears.
In order for the eyes of my mind to see further, I have climbed up for years.
So I can turn into a white cloud
and drift back to elsewhere.
My thoughts go so far away,
like an eastward river.
