Twilight Rain
I thought the early fall is gonna be warm,
but the autumn rain is unseasonably cold,
down from the unapologetic sky.
Blew by the wind, the flutes of reeds are short.
Zipping back and forth, a swallow
plucks the long strings of the rain.
Someone hangs a flowing curtain
in front of the porch railing.
Looking toward the street light, I see
thousands of flying mayflies, glittering.
The rainy twilight, a beauty
in the eye of a lonely beholder,
is getting dimmer and dimmer,
eventually swallows the entire desert.
Mesmerized, he falls into dreams
with the scent of some old mud
that they stepped on in another time.
【五律】暮雨
只道早秋暖,那知秋雨凉。
风吹芦笛短,燕拨雨弦长。
凭槛一帘挂,迎光万点扬
人茕荒漠暝,梦远旧泥香。
