A simple example showing differences of English and Chinese

人类早期语言的产生是从对事物进行分类开始的，给事物起名字是其中重要的一步，这代表人类对世界的初步分类。

有了这些名字后，人们往会由它们引申出一些与原意相关的抽象的概念，而怎么引申则在不同语言中有不同的方向，反映了思维方式的极大不同。举例来说

光/light

 

中文： 光，n/A。没有了，光明，光阴/时间，婐露，．．

英文：light, 轻，  N/a，。 光明，   N/A，N/A，．．

 

从上可知，中西语走了一条绝然不同的进化路線。有興趣的朋友可以舉－反三试試看。
