中文里可以说＂中国和世界＂，英语一定要说China and THE REST OF the world

China and the world is not logically correct since China is part of the world.
So the "comrade and friends" usage indicates that a comrade can not be a
friend and a friend can not be a comrade, which is incomprehensible
to people who are not familiar with political terminology in China at that time
