讨论一下，如何表达''过程''？

比如说：

作为一个她的好友，从她最初看房到交钱买房，再到后来监督装修，我都全程参与并提供意见。

这里我想表达的是一个时间上可以不紧密连续，但前后相接的过程。 该用的是in the course of the whole thing? During the course of the whole thing? 还是该说，in the process of the whole thing? or During the process of the whole thing?

还有，如何表达''相称"？比如说，他假装帮房东找客人，实际上自已当起了二房东，找不够人，亏的是房东，找到人，自已无本赚钱。风险和收益不相称。
