Not really. Ask yourself some questions:

Do you enjoy what your current ways of English learning?

Are you content with your ways of learning?

Are you satisfied with what you’ve learned through CBC and VOA news report?

What are the strength and weakness you’ve discovered so far on your English language skills?

What are the areas that need to be further improved, and how?

If most of your answers are positive, continue with what you’ve been done.  Re-assess your learning periodically.

It is important to know if it works for you,and it really doesn’t matter what others’ opinion on your individualized learning style and learning needs.
