All I remember

is how happy (for his country) Chuchil was when he was notified the attack... 

and how frustrated and desperate when he could not convince FDR to help for the fight before.

Several books talked about that, so I took it as a fact.. 

 

One book does mentioned that he did not like and  Stalin at all and did not like the way  FDR negotiated with Stalin during the final stage of the war.. but he nolonger had no much influrence over them....

On the other hand, other books suggest that FDR was either too trust himself of way to deal with Stalin, or he was somehow influenced by some communism sympathizers.
